As I headed towards the train stop this afternoon, I was approached by a youngish man working for a children's charity. Having just worked for hours at Oregon Literacy cataloguing charity auction items, calling for estimates for framing an item for the charity auction, and generally being non-profitable, I wasn't too receptive. I was dry; I hadn't enough of the milk of human kindness left to lighten a cup of weak tea.

Made it back to the house, where I was regaled with my cat's activities for the day, the new dragonfly earrings that Mater bought for herself, and a suggestion for a poem that I should write.

Yeah.

Tried to call back a job prospect, but Mater mis-heard the phone number and I got a wrong number. Figured it out, and left a message for the correct person. I hope. I'll try again in the morning.

Getting ready to dive into my very last math homework, ever. Wait. Let me give that the proper gravitas.*cue dramatic music* My Very Last Math Homework, Ever. I must come up with some appropriate ritual to commemorate this occasion.

Other than that, it's slogging about in cold and grey Stumptown. Trying not to cave into a winter depression.

Keep your chin up.
