It's around 16:00. I've been awake since 14:37. You do the math.

Yep, went out last night and had a wonderful time. I called MC-CC to see what he was up to. He had a meeting in the Stumptown hinterlands, and wouldn't be free until late. However, JR had nothing to do. He passed the phone over. There's something lovely about being greeted with, "Hello, Sugar Shack." *laugh* We decided on renting a movie--though finding a movie neither one of us had seen was deemed an exercise in futility. Playing it by ear sounded nice.

After taking care of Treluv and Binkie's cats, I went over to JR's. He was still cleaning his room, but he showed off pictures and drawings and played 80s music (on vinyl!). I knew that it was a geek-fest evening when he started opening comic book boxes. It was great; both of us sitting on his floor with comic books strewn all over the place, having an involved discussion about comics, artists, and storylines.

GEEKS!

How appropriate that I wore my home-made Geeks do it with a +2 modifier t-shirt.

One of his roommates (a stonemason and a poet) cooked up some chicken on the barbecue. We sat outside eating while the neighbours set off fireworks for no readily apparent reason which set off the pugs, Omar and Tito. Drank a little wine, talked, went to see the fireworks as it *whumped* and *banged*.

Later, the stonemason's woman called. We all ended up at Daddy Mojo's, which was almost closed. An inebriated (and funny as hell) older guy kept making himself at home in our booth. Laws, he had a mouth on him. That place closed, a JR and I went over to the Acme. He ran into a friend of his and they spent a lot of time catching up and reminiscing. It was interesting to listen to them talk. Some great stories there.

We ended up back at JR's talking until about 05:00. One of those great what am I doing, why am I here, what the fuck is up with men/women conversations. By the time I got back to the house, the sky was lightening. I felt so decadent.

*giggle*

Go. Be fabulous.
