I'm the happiest girl chez nous this evening. I'm the only girl chez nous this evening; nevertheless, a favourite movie is on, Casino Royale. A wonderful parody of the spate of spy movies that came out in the 1960s. It's so over-the-top and outrageous with fabulous costuming, great sets, witty dialogue, an unforgettable theme by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass (that takes me days to get out of my head) and a great mix of actors. Check out the title on IMDB . . . everyone from David Niven to Anjelica Huston. S'truth!

My bangs are getting longer and longer. Today I got some narrow head bands in the vain hope that they won't cause headaches. The Target store was filled with people, madness. The people around here are menaces with shopping carts -- they control them as well as they control their vehicles.

Which they cannot.

Perhaps next time I'll bring an air horn. That'll get their attention, because that's what the problem is. Everyone is so self-absorbed that they can't fathom the notion that there are other people on the planet. I was shocked when I found out. *laugh*

When I went to pay, the clerk did not look me in the eyes once. Talk about alienation. Heavens, what's wrong with us? Has the Ministerium f�r Staatssicherheit, a.k.a. the Stasi, mentality infiltrated our culture so deeply all ready? Yuck.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
