There are foxgloves blooming in the yard. The flowers range from pale lavender at the top of each flowering stalk to dark lavender at the bottom. The edges of the trumpet-shaped flowers are paler, as if each one has been dipped in bleach for a moment.

I love the shape of the flowers. While they wouldn't work well as gloves (for foxes or anyone), they might do as chapeaux du fee. Fairy hats, but doesn't it sound grand in bad French? Maybe they'd work as Dagmar bras. Y'know, those alarming 1950s brassieres that resemble rocket nose cones--for that, the flowers would be perfect.
