Walked out into the backyard this evening. There's a warm wind blowing up from Hawaii. After feeling chilled for the past little bit it's such a pleasure to have a day where it's too warm to wear gloves.

Spectacular sunset this evening. Salmon bedded in smoky lavender over the neighbour's house. Outside smells; dirt, green, fir, mouldering leaves. A treat to stand on the porch, toes clenched around the edge. A teasing taste of spring. A whiff of an hor's d'oeuvre of a taste of spring.

Makes me think that things are going to be okay.

Ach damn. The joy/hell of hope.
