Just the normal shop madness today.

Mad Babs was in three times; working on 72 hours of being awake, fumbling and fussing...her "fluffer" dance was priceless. She wanted extra packing material and couldn't find the right word to describe what she wanted and, in frustration, danced what she wanted. That's my normal M.O., so it wasn't a complete shock. Her fluffer dance followed the "what the hell are the metal things that go into paper and hold it together" dance of ten minutes before.

Still, a woman wearing purple latex gloves, a babushka, dark sunglasses, Birkenstocks (with socks, as is au courant in Stumptown), purple pants, sweater and paisley scarf leaping about in the front of the shop was quite astonishing.

I doubt she knows what a fluffer does. And I certainly didn't want to embarass her in front of other clients. Must find way to let her in on Big Secret without upsetting her.

In other news, N'awlins. Ho-ly shit! Arcangel666 is much in my thoughts, as are other friends who live there. I hope that everyone is okay and safe. Possessions, stuff--I don't care. But the people...
