Another amusing weekend.

Friday night went to the movie rental shop and picked up three, fried gold, movies; The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?, Satan in High Heels, and Hard Core Logo.

All were enjoyable, with the added bonuses of Joe Bob Briggs commentary on Incredibly Strange Creatures..., nudie cuties and "She Devils in Latex" on Satan in High Heels, (The big production number in that one had our bad girl protagonist doing a nightclub number in leather jodphurs, lace-up waistcoat, and sporting a riding crop. I believe the song was something about "the female of the species is more deadly than the male" and something about how she'll beat you and stuff--an absolute hoot.) and a surprisingly good view of punk band life on the road in Hard Core Logo.

Saturday, got a call from Chris to go play with swords. Well, padded weapons in the shape of swords. We went over to the PSU campus, met up with another dang fool, and proceeded to whomp the crap out of each other while slipping and sliding on the wet grass and laughing our heads off.

I have some truly astonishing bruises. The one on my arm makes everyone cringe--yah, I'm a delicate flower.

Heh.

Saturday night, went to a party. I was, apparently, one of only two or three single women there. Lord, the raftloads of shit I listened to as the boys tried to impress. The difference now? I feel no obligation to be polite and feign interest.

There was one guy with a nose piercing who was most insistent. All I wanted to do was flick his jewellry and laugh.

Is there something wrong with me? All I want is these little boys to kiss my boots. Funny thing is that I think that they would--and enjoy it.

Sunday I spent the afternoon with Chris and his sister. It was the nicest part of the weekend--barring the swordplay.

Picked up a collection of Lynn Truss's comic novels and columns (quite good) at Powell's, and had a yummy Vegan meal.

Went over to the acme and watched Vampire Lovers--a Hammer Films lesbian vampire spectacular--and yelled, "Tits ahoy!" every time nekkid boobs appeared on screen. The Exorcist started, but it was time for this wee Xat to hie herself home.

Tonight? Tango or Tango a movie by Carlos Saura.

Oh joy!

Go. Be fabulous.
