A double today at work. Working back-up, which means that I wash everything, make sure that the fridge is stocked, the shop is clean, and the drip coffee doesn't run out.

This is all great fun, particularly with no plumbing. There is water, but everything drains into 5-gallon buckets that have to be emptied several times a day.

Whining alert!

Several times a day, we take the buckets from underneath both of the sinks and the ice reservoir, the one that catches all the liquid from the espresso machine, and the "spit bucket." The spit bucket catches any old milk, ice cubes, whatever. It's vile. The buckets are loaded on the cart, and wheeled into the back area. Once there, we use the janitor's closet in-floor tub and spigot to empty and rinse the buckets. The door won't stay open on its own, so we use a stanchion to prop the door.

The buckets are heavy. Hang on. Each one, full, weighs about 19 kilos (almost 42 lbs.). The plasticky part of the wire handles are broken. That damn wire hurts when you try to heft it.

*waaah waaah waaah!*

I'm planning on a wild night of nothing. Just reading. Sleeping.

Yeeargh.

On the plus side, leaving tomorrow at 13:00 will feel like a vacation. Too bad I'm working Saturday morning, eh? Oh well.

Be fabulous.
