Saw The Notorious Bettie Page last night with Johnny. The director used archival footage of the period that lent a documentary-like air to the film. Gretchen Mol was lovely as Bettie Page. Enjoyable screenplay. The re-creations of the bondage photos and films are great fun; filled with a quaint innocence that's been long lost.

Worked a double today. Our afternoon guy called in. Heaven knows I can use the hours so...0600 to 1730. Waugh. *grin*

Oh my stars and garters, I was fussy by the end of the day. Cheered up considerably when I realized that we'd scored big time on tips--and I was getting 11 hours' worth. Whee!

Have decided against going to the Mexican wrestler Cinco de Mayo party tonight. Yes, how could I possibly let such an extravaganza of foolishness pass me by? I'm tired. Feet hurt. Back hurts. Want cabana boys begging to give me full-body massages and make margaritas. My job is to Not Lift a Finger. Well, maybe. If only to point out a particularly ouchie spot that needs special attention. Like over there, by my right nipple. Okay. On my right nipple...

Ahem. Yes.

Instead, I will spend the evening with Japanese soft-core porn (Big Boobs Buster How could I pass on that title, eh?), Howling II, a documentary about Dario Argento, and something I'm dead certain will be awful. Yep. Vampire Assassins. I'm giving it a pre-emptive OUCH! right here.

And it will be fabulous. Particularly with the help of my last beer in the 'fridge, and the massive contact high from my medical marijuana using neighbour. Whoopee for me.

Be faboo.
