Have you heard about the national ID card? Seems that the United States is the new USSR... The bill was attached to a war appropriations bill (82 billion dollars...wait, wouldn't it make more sense to feed, clothe, educate and support people with that money?), the attachment wasn't debated, and seems to have been done as quietly as possible.

It is planned to become effective in May 2008. Inshallah, there'll be a sea-change in Americans' attitudes between now and then.

So how's the weather in Australia?
