Whoop-de-doo. It's Monday. *cackle*

A lovely evening at the Subterranean Bear Revival (SBR). I got there early to meet my victi...uh...client to go over my suggestions and corrections. While waiting for him, the bartender asked if anyone had any CDs that they wanted to hear. MC-CC had just returned a revival swing CD from a group called the New Morty Show. Their swinged (swung?) covers of Enter Sandman, and the Billy Idol medley of Rebel Yell and White Wedding are a hoot and a half. I dashed up to Tora, grabbed that CD and another one (the John Larsen Project-local, emo-ish) and ran back downstairs.

The swing CD inspired MC-CC and myself to cut a rug in the middle of the bar. I surprised myself and remembered how to do a proper swing Charleston. I'm very rusty, but it comes back easily. Yay!

Later, my client hopped up on stage and pulled out two pieces of paper. One had writing all over it. The other had about 10-15 lines. He said, "Xat's editing me, and it's great. She took this," he flourished the longer piece, "and turned it into this," he waved the shorter piece, "and it's much better and much tighter." Ahhh, how to make an editrix happy. It feels good to help someone make their work as good as it can be.

My chapbook is finished. We're having a book release at the SBR on Sunday, June 19th (barring any slips between now and then). It's called Trance Sister and it's all my pornotica poetry, to date.

*grin*
