Rode bitch with J tonight. Went to the bi-monthly, all bikes welcome (and people too--unless you're a doper or a thief), club meeting.

The guy who runs it has a huge garage with all kinds of bikes in it. Ducatis, Bultacos, Nortons, BMWs, Hodakos (an Oregonian bike--in production from 1964 to 1978)(who knew?), and others. All of the bikes were in beautiful shape; it was a treat to look at them.

Met one of J's friends, T, who used to skate with the Rose City Rollers. She still goes, just handles merchandise now. She rides a new-ish Triumph Bonneville.

Met some other nice people, and some who'll be able to help me find parts for my boy. Yay!

After the meeting, we went over to Slim's in St. John's. Lasted only about an hour. T was driven out by the country music. D had to be up at stupid o'clock for work. J and I took a leisurely trundle to his place with a brief sidetrack through the University of Portland campus. Great views of the city .

Got back to J's where we put his bike into the garage. Each of us on either side of his bike, backing it up the driveway, past the Buick, and into the garage. We both still had our helmets on and we tapped them together a few times.

*tap* giggle *tap* giggle *tap* giggle

J said that he appreciated my passengering skills--and that I trusted him enough to ride with him.

We're hoping that I'll be able to ride to the next meeting in two weeks. Send good getting Bub together mojo please.

*grin*
